Majlis Mesra Sanjungan Bakti-The Event

A 'not in the list' event cropped up at a very last minute...That was when Kak Pah (Sharifah Ariziah ) and I, have to represent YDP, Pn Masariah to attend a special meeting @SMK Cochrane --later ended up to organise together with MPSM - a Majlis Mesra Sanjungan Bakti for YBhg Tan Sri Dato'Hj Alimuddin bin Hj Mohd Dom, our KPPM who is retiring soon...

Everything was so fast.....Ten GCKL was invited to attend the Majlis , not FOC, BUT we have to pay RM100 for the food. And GCKL was also incharge of 'hadiah dan cenderamata'..And then..quickly we ran through GC names...and came out with 10 names...and definitely the listed ones were the BEST..

It was easy to decide the present for him (as long as we have $$$$$)...and it was a digital Al-Quran.(We sincerely hope he likes it )..

...And what I love most was our team work......Masariah, Vasantha, Mr Tan, Ding, Kak Pah, Leela, Gurdarshan, Hamidah and Cikgu Za....We took pride in everything we do - We are proud to be GC..and we feel damn good when we are in our 'batik uniforms'...I guess all people around us were looking at us with full respect...or maybe envious of our 'closeness' (that day)....

Couldnt focus much on food (I really missed it), but I have no choice...because being in a front liners and to ensure that everything was okay for the prize giving ceremony.....in the end, leaving my stomach still empty. Back home, searching for food..

..Missed to snap the food photos, because it was quite a crowd ..with all the 'pengetua' and 'guru besar' lining up for food---Most of them looked strange to me except for a few, including my pengetua ..

Alhamdulillah, all was beautifully done- We managed to snap photo together with Pengarah and Tan Sri Dato-sebagai kenangan..Suddenly I heard somebody was whispering.."Ada lagi yang nak bersara dan kena organise lagi satu event.." Guess who ?

Majlis perpisahan ini dikendalikan oleh Majlis Pengetua2 WPKL dan akan dihadiri oleh wakil-wakil Pengetua, wakil Guru Besar, wakil kaunselor, wakil JPN, Ketua2 Sektor dan lain-lain.

National Master Teachers 8th Convention

Finally Our National Master Teachers' 8th Convention was successfully held @Akademi Kenegaraan, BTN Jln Bellamy KL for the whole week 27-30th October..What a relief...after a full-packed scheduled involved as Liaison officer (LO) and just like last year's convention, our MGCWPKL was again in charge of sambutan and protokol. Well...its again a wonderful experience working as a team with Jemaah Nazir Jaminan Kualiti group and of course with other fellow GC from all over the country.. Meet again friends of the same boat : Cikgu Hamzah GC Sc and Cikgu Jaafar GC Kimia, both from Trengganu, Ida GC BM of Selangor, Datin Noridah GC Bio from Perlis, Majinah GC Bio from Kelantan,.....many..many more..cant list down here..Total up to about 270 participants.

The sharing of paper works in the two parallel sessions by selected GCs of different subjects and different states, the Keynotes address by Ketua Nazir JNJK Datuk Misrah , and the presentation of a speaker : Dr Lee Seung Chun from UUM (he is a Korean) in a plenary session, the talk by Ketua pengarah BTN Datuk Shagul Hamid....

The sharing of the latest education and national issues such as NKRA, SKPM, KPI, government transformation,..etc, etc...All were so informative and well presented.

I was contented and excited to be in the convention as it has recharged my energy in order to continue my reponsibility as an educator..

Thats the reason, I never miss such a convention..year by year...it doesnt matter even if I have to pay for it..

A few things quoted from the convention:

1. Timbalan Ketua Nazir (Bhg Dasar) Pn Norhayati shared her experience of Japan's school visit- Japanese teachers use ICT stuff in the classrooms...yes...we have used ICT here too!

2.En Azizul, ex-YDP was retiring..sharing the characters that GC should have..I guess all that listed are found in 12 Pillars a.k.a. Tonggak 12 :-))

3.Ketua Nazir : Urged GC to cultivate values in students : setiap kali, setiap hari, setiap orang...secara berterusan..with the aim to produce 'modal insan holistik '. I will do.

4. Ketua Pengarah BTN- Datuk Shagul Hamid - an eye opener talk about perkongsian kuasa di Malaysia .

5.Mr Muthu from JNJK talking about SKPM-2010- Well versed and informative!

...and the presence of KSN..to officiate the opening ceremony...and the closing ceremony by Dr Halili ( represent KPPM)...and the dinner sponsored by TM di JPM..TQ..Tq..TQ..

..and GC KL frens around : YDP Masariah, Datin Zahrah, Mr Tan Kar Seng, Ms Vasantha, Asrima, Zuraimah, Gurdarshan, Raimah, Ustaz Hashim (the presenter) , Sh Ariziah, Kamariah, Leela, Sohaidie, Ruslina, Rohaiza, Azizah, Helena, Grace Chin,Ustaz Hashim, Tiew...and of course the floor managers: Abd Halim , Zainuddin and Mr Thong yang tak duduk diam..(10 stayed in, 20 not)- I should say a VERY GOOD teamwork..Love all of u ..

Back to school on Friday....speechless...banyak kerja menanti !..tetapi.............
